marketing techniques that fit your style.

Give these idea;s a try, see what works best for you!
– Thank you cards, shows them you appreciate their business
– Give customers a set of wallets with their order to use as referral cards.
– Reward past clients with discounts and referral incentives.
– Write a handwritten note explaining
how much you loved working with them and value their support
– Most rewarding -Keep your customers happy!

Get yourself out there- I know its hard, we like to be hidden behind our camera’s
– Hand your card out to people you find yourself in conversation with
– Have a contest for a free photo session.
– Use Facebook/Instagram ads to target customers
– Blogging – blog each session that you do
– SEO – if you come up on specific photography searches for your area, potential customers will
find you.
– Donate a free session for a fundraiser auction
– Show your best images on your business cards.
– Give coupons to your friends to pass out to their friends
– Offer mini shoots, themed holiday shoots and portrait parties as a lower cost, higher volume
option
– Be genuine – give people reasons to trust you to take their photos. People do business with
people they like

Know who your ideal client is and use your website to appeal to them
– For me, it’s weddings and family. AS you see I have a specific page dedicated to each of of them.
– Your website is often the first impression that people have of your business
– As wedding photographers, we get the majority of our inquiries from people looking for a wedding
photographer on Google. It’s critical, then, that our websites appear in a search engine’s results.
– As family photographer I do more on my Facebook Ads
– I Blog regularly. Google likes websites that have fresh content on a regular basis
– Use “ALT tags” on your images, like “Wedding at Hotel Sask Regina…

Rock at your Social Media

– I have a love-hate relationship with social media.
– Is your ideal client on Facebook? Twitter? Google+? Be there
– it’s essential to engage if you want your social media marketing to be effective
– Post at least twice a week if not more, some post every day
