Saskatchewan & Manitoba Wedding Photographer- Benito MB Country Garden Wedding

We started with girls in her parents beautiful yard in Benito, MB . This awesome family is no strangers to us as we photographed Jana’s sister Kansas’s wedding last year. The guys were in a camper getting ready at the same location, so it was a easy back & forth. Jana looked stunning in her Casablanca wedding dress. I don’t think in my 15 years of shooting weddings, I’ve ever saw a wedding dress wit so much material and tulle. It was something beautiful! Great choice Jana.
Jana and Devin found some cool spots to photograph in, including a old rustic barn, and a fabulous creek stream. Here’s some pics from their day…
Their story below

Their little dog was part of the wedding, can you say “adorable” he hee!

A little info about the bride ad groom from the bride Jana
It was about 9 years ago that we met in the Timberland in Swan River MB. I was serving coffee and taking breakfast orders when the Stampeders hockey team showed up to have breakfast. No one wanted to take the table of 10 blue haired hung over guys, so we all did rock, paper, scissors in the servers area and I lost. After they all ate I was cleaning off the table and noticed a receipt was left with writing on it. I texted Devin “Rhino” that day and we talked for a bit but both our lives carried on and didn’t hear from each other again.
UNTIL………. A year went by and Devin decided to text me to see how things were with me. We talked for a while staying up way past our bedtimes until the day Devin’s roommate (Jared) wrote in the snow “girlfriend?” and Devin asked me if the statement could be true.
We were both heading to school that fall and we decided we could do long distance for 2.5 years! Devin being in Saskatoon and myself being in Brandon. After those brutal long distant years went by, Devin moved to Brandon where we have been living ever since with our cat Coke and dog Ryder.
We have now been together for 7 years before Devin proposed to me. That day nothing could have gone right for us! We were 2.5 hours late leaving for Saskatoon and missed the drop off time for our cat, having to turn around a figure something else out. Once we finally were able to get on the road I was busy getting ready for the big night out with Devin’s brother, Brandan, that I didn’t notice Devin sweating like crazy and checking his phone like a mad man. Once we got to Saskatoon we made a couple wrong turns but eventually made it to the hotel that we were staying at.
Once in the hotel Devin said we needed to go for a walk to catch up to his brother and friends. Being so gullible I totally believed this and followed his lead out the door. We started walking on this beautiful path downtown Saskatoon but me and watching so many Criminal Minds episodes I was freaking out and squeezing Devin’s hand whenever a twig snapped or a noise was made. Finally we started getting closer to the river and Devin paused, I was starting to get a little annoyed with waiting for his brother and my heels had given my feet blisters! I told Devin that I was going to sit on this park bench till his brother and buddies showed up.
Devin came down and sat beside me and told me that his brother wasn’t coming. I was a bit confused because I didn’t understand why his brother wasn’t coming until Devin pulled a swift move down onto one knee and asking me if I would………
I screamed and cried and he didn’t get to finish before I said YES, and that he was asking me too soon because he completely caught me off guard and I didn’t know what else to say without having my speech prepared.
