Regina & Yorkton Wedding Photographer- Outdoor wedding at Asessippi old town site.

HOT, HOT, HOT! That pretty much sums up this wedding! We started with Kellie and her girls at her friends home in Russel. It was a outdoor ceremony out at the old town site of Asessippi. Blue and her crew had it all decorated up beautiful! They had their traditional ceremony as well as Chad’s aunt and uncle did a sweetgrass smoke for blessing. They followed that off with a surprise for the couple- their own star blanket. It was very beautiful!
This wedding party ROCKED! They were such a fun and awesome group.
Kellie and Chad were shall we say…ummm super easy to photograph!! They were so into each other and there was so much love and passion! It was incredible! Kellie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. It was so very hot and humid that day, I was a little sick from the sun and then Chad started to get real sick. So we’d do a few shots, rest then continue on…he was a real trooper I know it was very hard on him to finish.
After the supper and dances, we continued on to do a few pictures with Kellie’s grandpa Model T, its a 100 years old and in mint condition…we were so fortunate that he brought it out for us to photograph. Kellie planned her dream wedding with a black and white theme, it was beautiful thanks to her decorator.
Wishing you both a happy and wonderful future together along with your precious son Gab and all his siblings to come.
Here’s a peak at the day!

Their Story:
Kellie and Chad met in Clear lake in the late summer of 2013. Chad was there for a golf tournament and Kellie was there on a camping trip with friends from school. The girls were on their way to go dancing at Southgate bar in Onanole when a friend hurt her foot. The girls came into the campsite that Chad and his friends were staying at to get a bandaid. Chad rushed to get one for the girls knocking over friends in order to return first. The girls were grateful and invited the guys to go dancing. After a staggeringly long wait at the door to get in, the group spent the night on the dance floor. It wasn’t until later in the night that Chad worked up the nerve to talk to Kellie. He wasn’t sure but there was a driving force deep within him to find out more about Kellie. The two danced together until closing time. On the ride back to the camp grounds, Kellie spent time finding out more about Chad from his friends. They all sat around the fire in the camp ground, that Chad helped build, and got to know each other a little bit.
The next day Kellie texted Chad using the business card he gave her the night before. They continued to speak throughout the week and decided to meet in Brandon the following weekend. They watched movies and went for a midnight drive to see the stars. Chad had no idea where he was going but it didn’t matter, he had found a girl who truly sparked his interest and made him feel alive. They spent another weekend together and decided to see each other exclusively. Chad was very quick to show his new girl off to his friends and family because he knew this girl was the one.
They have been inseparable ever since.

Chad purposed on August 8th 2014 while we were spending the afternoon at Good Spirit beach swimming and listening to music. We were at the Jay Z and Beyonce concert a few months back and love their music. At the lake when their song ’03 Bonnie and Clyde came on with the lyrics “All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriend” played he got down on one knee and said “All I need in this life is you. Will you marry me?” He then pulled out a gorgeous engagement ring he had tied in the pocket of his swimming trunks and slipped it on my finger after I said “yes, of course” with happy tears running down my face.

The new couple along with their beautiful 11 month old son Gabriel live in Brandon MB. Chad works for EMW Industrial as the Eastern Prairie Region Manager. Kellie is a full time mom as well as a student. She will be returning to Brandon University in September in the Psychiatric Nursing Program.
